    4. When any Shiv temple is being constructed, the Shikhar (Mountain peak like structure over the temple) is constructed later after the Shiv-Ling is placed. Because, it is a custom that Shiv-Ling should not enter from the temple door but should be placed from the top of the temple.

    1. The long running sound of the bell reaches so far from the temple, that can be used to guide the person towards the temple.
    2. The sound of bell impacts all the 7 Chakras, residing in our body. So making the whole body fully receptive to the blessings of Almighty God. Scientifically it can wake all the parts of the body up to receive the positive vibes running all around the temple.
  5. Some very old hindu temples have sculptures of life. Because at that time, the only common place of gathering was temples. So they were used to teach people the way of life.
EDIT: A legend in Ramayan which mentions about injury in left leg of Hanumanji is - Hanumanji was travelling with carrying in his hand a mountain with Sanjivani ( A medicine to cure Lakshman who was severely injured by attack of Meghnad - Son of Raavan). While Hanumanji was flying over Ayodhya, Bharat saw him and mis-recognized him as Rakshash coming to attack Ayodhya. Since he was the representative ruler of Ayodhya and also the protector of the throne, he immediately shot an arrow towards Hanumanji. It was very easy for Hanumanji to tackle the arrow, but since the arrow had the name ‘Shri Ram’ written over it, he let the arrow attack him. This resulted in the leg-injury and he fell down to Ayodhya. Later, Bharat came to know about whole story and he cured Hanumanji and let him go.
