Chinmayee Raj
Getting photos of Hindu gods is a task…you have to achieve moksha (liberation), remember to carry a HD camera when you go to meet God…so let’s just settle for the paintings! ;)
Hari is my favorite, he steals my heart every time I look at his grace, his sweet charm and his compassion. It is impossible to not fall in love with him over and over again!
Born in prison, a simple cowherd, the apple of Yashoda’s eyes, the ideal partner in crime, every damsel’s sweet heart. He treated everyone the way they deserved to be treated and never used his powers on them. Not a body builder, just an achingly proportionate body that oozes charm 24X7, killed his own uncle, never ruled over an empire, the friend every girl wishes she had (ask Draupadi about it), the brother who helped his sister elope with the love of her life, did not carry a weapon to the great Mahabharata war…heck, did not even wear an armor, the ideal friend (ask Arjuna about it), volunteered to be a charioteer, the epitome of Dharma and yet the cunning trickster, owns a chakra, gadha, sword and bow and killed by a regular hunter.
Look at that tiny thing nobody can get enough of looking at…including that calf overflowing with love for Him.
Give me one reason to not go awww…..He holds up the entire universe and also carries his fathers footwear on His head!
Who can get angry at this little one?
Don’t miss the calf patiently waiting for him to finish his meal. If he wants, he can easily escape and run away from little Krishna…how tight could those tiny fingers hold? But nope, he’d rather be tied in His company :)
No, no, no, I didn’t steal the butter!
The lord of the universe comfortably sitting in Yashoda’s embrace. He feels safe on her lap it seems.
The sweetly stubborn child…
The lucky fruit vendor who gets to place her huge mangoes in his tiny hands.
Brahma and his blunders :D
One in all, all in one!
Again, that one calf which is exactly as cute as Krishna himself.
I wish I was as holy as one of these cows to be in his company. How lovingly he embraces and takes care of them every day…
I wish I was the flute so he would kiss me everyday!
My favorite, the omniscient ideal student!
The trickster being tricked! Don’t miss the expressions on the friends.
The lucky girl being consoled by Him.
Tell me how black is not beautiful...also, those big beautiful eyes!
The guy who didn’t have to try hard at all…
On the banks of Yamuna, he stole their clothes and dived in to the water to play with them.
The gentleman who didn’t disappoint any girl.
This is what it looks like when peace has been painted. I could stare at this for hours and probably qualify it as meditation..
Fights with Kamsa’s goons and later with Kamsa himself to releases his parents from the prison.
The savior…enough said.
Kidnapping Rukmini (upon her request). Why don’t marriages happen this way anymore? :D
The charioteer.
My favorite, Vishwaroopa Darshana.
Another depiction of Vishwaroopa. Look at how humbled the mighty Arjuna is at the sight of this form of Krishna.
Krishna finishing his Avatara.
The lord of the multiverse.
I have many many many more, I have put up a select few to save your fingers from scrolling.
All images from Krishna.com | All About Krishna because it wasn’t evident enough from the pictures. ;)
Hare Krishna!
